The small pictures are now freely movable
The IRL4YOU BOX is an independent add-on package for the BELABOX: picture-in-picture with up to four cameras, controlled through its own web interface. Since 0.9.9, version 0.9.16 mostly brings one thing: you drag the small pictures with the mouse or your finger to wherever you want them. There is also a switch to go live automatically, a broadcast mode for screen recordings, and a few everyday improvements. The BOX is a beta.
1. What is new since 0.9.9
- Move the small pictures freely. In a preview, you drag the small pictures to a new spot with the mouse or your finger. The corners and "bottom center" remain as presets if you would rather pick a corner as before.
- Go live automatically. After the box starts, the stream begins on its own. You find the switch in the Live card, and it is off by default. The box waits for the server and for a camera that is sending, and gives up after 10 minutes.
- Broadcast mode for screen recordings. When you film the screen, broadcast mode hides addresses, names, and logs.
- "Not applied yet." The interface then shows a notice with "Restart stream". The Live card now also shows the total upload.
- Logs: lean or verbose. "Lean" is easier on the memory card, "verbose" helps with troubleshooting.
- Power off the box. Shutting down and restarting now work right in the interface.
2. The 0.9.16 video
The video (5 minutes 14 seconds) shows all functions of beta 0.9.16, including what is new since 0.9.9. All screens in it show sample data, and the OBS picture is schematic. The new parts of the video:
3. Beta status
The BOX is a beta, and features may change. Moving the small pictures freely was tested with real cameras. There is no long-term test yet.
4. More about the BOX
Everything about features, installation, and updates is on the project page. You can find the source code (MIT license) and the instructions on GitHub, and questions, bugs, and ideas are welcome in the Discord. The BOX is an independent add-on project and not a product of BELABOX, Radxa, or DJI.
