Animated diagram with placeholders: on the left, entering an address, four levels of error correction, and a margin in modules, all generated locally. In the middle, a QR preview that is only a sample pattern. On the right, the steps download the SVG, scan it on the stream phone, and then check protocol, server, and port. Below, a note to treat a QR code containing a stream key like a key. No real credentials are shown

No third-party QR service

The QR graphic is created entirely on your device. Neither the address nor the stream key is sent to IRL4YOU or to an external QR provider.

What you can use a stream QR code for

A QR code saves you from typing long streaming addresses, which is error-prone. It can carry a complete SRT, SRTLA, RTMP, or RTMPS address, an app import link, or a prepared connection profile from your computer to the stream phone. Which data is taken over after scanning is up to the camera or streaming app you use.

You can put together matching addresses and import links beforehand in the IRL connection builder. The QR code then only takes over the finished text.

What a QR code does not check for you

The graphic tests neither the server nor the port, stream key, passphrase, or reachability. It does not encrypt the data it contains either. After scanning, you therefore have to check the protocol, target address, and app profile and verify them in a private test stream.

A QR code with credentials is not a general preview image and does not belong in Discord, YouTube, screenshots, or public guides. For public examples, always use neutral placeholders and replace compromised keys right away.

Using it safely

Treat the QR code like a key: If it contains a stream key or a password, it must not be published, photographed, or permanently attached to your streaming backpack.

Before you use it, scan it with the actual smartphone and then check that the protocol, server, port, and stream ID were taken over completely.
